Your business does not need to be fully formed to apply. It can still be in the idea stage.

No, you do not need a business plan to apply. You will need to complete the online competition application, which asks a number of questions pertaining to your business or idea but we do not require a formal business plan.

You can apply as an individual or as a team (up to four students).

No, all finalists must be available to pitch in person.

Judges will focus on these core elements:
Vision, Problem, Value Proposition: How well the company’s offering solves a business or social need. What’s the business model?
Market: Target audience, market size, potential for growth/scalability, and how different the company is from others in the space.
Delivery of In-Person Final Round: Preparation, Clarity, Enthusiasm, Visual Aids and Time Management

The first place winner will receive $5,000 and the second place winner will receive $2,500. The first place winner will also have the opportunity to partake in an informational interview with William Morris Endeavor (WME).

Yes, the in-person competition will be free and open to the public (RSVP required). The RSVP form will open in early January 2025.
